What does TRACEROUTE show?

TRACEROUTE (tracert on Windows) shows the hops traversed by packets on their way to the destination. Timings measure the round trip from the probe to each hop.

Asterisks or missing replies do not necessarily mean a broken connection: routers may forward traffic without answering diagnostic requests. Traces run through the public Globalping API from an external probe, so the route can differ from the route from your device.
